View of the Week (W-End Edition): On the Aftermath of the @POTUS Decision re: #ParisAgreement

In Battery Park City in lower Manhattan.

As the dust settles in the aftermath of President Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accords, Route Fifty published a very interesting article from the Research Team at the National League of Cities  on what Cities are doing in the United States:

Mitch Herckis (@MHerckis)
"On Climate, Local Action Trumps National Rhetoric" routefifty.com/management/201… @leagueofcities @ckmcfarland@TrevorJLangan via @routefifty

The last sentence was telling, ".....If President Trump shows no leadership regarding climate, cities will fill the void. In many places, they already are...."   This is as the Haaretz' Chemi Shalev noted this earlier:

After torching Paris agreement, Trump is bogeyman of the world

& This actioni from Green Peace in Berlin:

A Greenpeace banner showing U.S. President Donald Trump and the slogan '#TotalLoser, so sad!' is projected onto the facade of the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany, June 2, 2017.
