On the Eve of a New Week: A "View of the Week" On Being Righteous....

A new week is before us--and with it a need to always as the Scouts remind, do your best :-)
It all begins with this admonitions that all must take to heart courtesy of Jonathan Lockwood Huie and his wonderful work elevating the discourse and giving us a sense of the true possible:

That you may retain your self-respect, it is better
to displease the people by doing what you know is right,
than to temporarily please them by doing what you know is wrong.
- William J. H. Boetcker

Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.
- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Perhaps the surest test of an individual's integrity
is his refusal to do or say anything that would damage his self-respect.
- Thomas S. Monson

When people get caught up with that which is right
and they are willing to sacrifice for it,
there is no stopping point short of victory.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
