Remembering #Madiba On #MadibaDay: July 18 :-)

Tomorrow is July 18--Madiba Day. As the World has been witness to such tragedy (#Gaza//#Ukraine//#MH17), it is fitting to remember what he stood for and may we all be inspired by the power of his example.   am grateful to one of my FB Friends while on the Grid who was gracious enough to share this beautiful thoughts from #Madiba especially as I am listening to the continued cycle of violence as #Israel has gone into #Gaza and the rockets continue to be fired into Israel:

Happy Birthday Madiba :-) :-)

On Tesla: How A Trailblazer is Changing the Paradigm

Being witness to history is a beautiful thing.      I had an opportunity to visit a Tesla "Boutique" recently to check out a Tesla which had a price tag of 93,000.  It is a beautiful piece of work that is slick in Design and amazed me for its' simplicity.

As I was witness to Tesla opening up its' patents to further "shake up" the car scene, It was with fabulous interest as I saw this on the Next Web:
If in fact he's able to pull it off, it will open up opportunities beyond the true "art of the possible".    What was disturbing though was reports by a Chinese firm claiming that it is able to "hack" a Tesla Car and laid out a challenge to that effect.

It is also of great interest to see that others are not standing still.   BMW is the latest entrant and it is bound to be a game-changer:

Thought 4 the Week: On #Respect

It comes down to the way you treat people.
When you treat people with dignity and respect all the time,
you can work through anything.
- John Bacon

Every human being, of whatever origin,
of whatever station, deserves respect.
We must each respect others even as we respect ourselves.
- U. Thant

Every good relationship, especially marriage, is based on respect.
If it's not based on respect,
nothing that appears to be good will last very long.
- Amy Grant

As we grow as unique persons, we learn to respect
the uniqueness of others.
- Robert H. Schuller

There is overwhelming evidence that the higher the level of self-esteem,
the more likely one will be to treat others with respect,
kindness, and generosity.
- Nathaniel Branden

Be modest, be respectful of others, try to understand.

A "Vision" Newsflash: On The Possibilities..but some Hard Truths

For this week,  a newsflash from the folks @ Take Part is worth note in its' entirety to truly showcase the "Vision of the Possible"--I was quite amazed by not just the initiative by Toyota (that I believe is taking its' queue from the folks @ UBER), but also the Solar Panels on Donkeys--as of course we are again reminded about the abuse that Mother Earth is enduring--especially as this admonition from the Global Ocean Commision reflects:

World's Oceans Face "Irreparable Damage"
Rashid Sumaila: Global Ocean Commission gives world leaders a five-year window for intervention before overfishing and climate change negatively impact the world's food supply, clean air, and climate stability

How a True "Vision of the Possible" Can be Possible: A "Thought 4 the Week" :-)

As A New Season Is Upon Us: Brief Reflections On The Eve of July 4, 2014.....

These are challenging times as a new Quarter begins here @ Outsiders.     On the eve of the 4th of July in the United States, Americans have a lot to be thankful for as strides have continued ever more.    Here at the "Vision of the Possible" the goal has been to showcase a sense of purpose on the technological and the long-term in order to create a true sense of purpose.

On the eve of the 4th of July, though, there needs to be some key questions asked.     The US Defense Budget has undergone some major reductions.   The reports reflect a budget funding request of $ 496 Billion For FY 2015.  However, the threats loom as the Obama Adminstration has requested $ 58 Billion in War Funding.   The stark choices were expressed below:

Part of the creation of a "Vision of the Possible Entails making choices and thinking about what can be made possible.     Despite the continued "green shots" as exemplified by the drop in unemployment which has given the Stock Market another boost as the long-term unemployed though continue to be a drafg on the economy.

What is fascinating too also is how the leading lights of Technology Today continue to march on to satisfy the never ending thirst for bigger, better and faster "stuff".    Apple is supposedly on the forefront of the wearables as some of the upstarts have been out there making inroads:

Apple is also trying to re-invent itself too:

Apple just obsoleted the Mac and nobody noticed

What is important, though, is to remember our own contributions.  Despite all the changes that we have to contend with, we must be able to remember our own uniqueness and this little clip shared by a distinguished colleague earlier today says it all:

To all in the US, Happy 4th of July to all

A "Thought 4 the Week" As a New Week Looms

Enough Said as all strive to create the "Vision of the Possible" :-)

View of the Week (II): On the Leading Lights (Microsoft/Amazon/et. al) On the Prowl For the "Vision of the Possible"

I have been amazed on the continued transformation of Tech as the leading lights of technology today are racing to create a true "vision of the possible".    If Microsoft is able to pull off its' version of the Smartwatch, HP can pull off its' vision of the "Machine" and of course UBER continues to make inroads, life will be a lot different that we are used to.

What I also am amazed is what Tesla has done with opening up its' patents as Nissan and others continue to march on to create the new era in Cars.     This is as Amazon came out with the Fire Phone and is also on the prowl with Amazon Fresh

It was the headlines over the past week that was frankly "Overwhelming"--but still exciting:

Onward, though...may we live in exciting times as I hope all enjoy these selected headlines courtesy of the team @ the Business Insider (which by the way is one of Jeff Bezos Investments outsider of Amazon):
