As I mentioned in my final Gates Notes post of 2020, I hope to spend much of my time in 2021 talking with leaders around the world about two things: COVID-19 and climate change.
I’m optimistic on both fronts.
With COVID-19, vaccines will reach enough people this year that life will start to look much more like normal than it did in 2020. And with climate change, I think the United States will reassert its role as a global leader in preventing a disaster.
In my latest blog post, I write about the four steps that I’ll be encouraging leaders in America and around the world to take. All together, they’ll add up to a concrete plan to eliminate emissions, adapt to the warming that’s already happening, and create jobs for the post-pandemic recovery.
I hope you’re having a safe and healthy start to 2021, and thanks as always for being an Insider!
