Notations From the Grid (Special Edition): The Fate of Yahoo

We have been seeing reports about changes in the air at Yahoo.     The story that appeared on Marketwatch earlier is quite telling in the predicament.  The company that was at one time at trailblazer for the interent is now potentially going to be "spun off" as Yahoo's core business of interent properties may be up for sale so that it can potentially be a "Berkshire Hathaway" of the interent with the holdings it has in  Yahoo Japan along with Alibaba.

We will be assessing this over the ensuing days.

Notations On Our World: On @COP21: The California Story

As we here @ #Outsiders are on the "Virtual Road' For +COP21 , we wanted to share this from NextGen Climate as its' founder is on his way to Paris.   The website they put together is quite a story to be witness to which we hope all find of interest as California continues to be a trailblazer:

NextGen Climate

As I head to Paris, I continue to mourn the victims of the horrific attacks that took place there just a few weeks ago. We're standing with the global community in honoring their memory by proceeding with the global climate summit to tackle the challenging tasks before us.

In the United States, the debate on climate action is often reduced to the false framework of jobs versus the environment. But in California we followed a different model, and as a result, we're growing our economy and creating jobs.

With the 8th largest economy in the world, California has more than 430,000 workers in the advanced energy sector. We're #1 in installed solar capacity, #1 in total advanced energy investment, and #1 in electric vehicle sales in the United States.

And when it comes to solutions, California isn't just leading the country —we're leading the world.

In Paris, we have a unique opportunity to take what we've learned in California and rewrite the story on a global scale.
Follow our journey

Thanks,

Tom Steyer

Notations From the Grid: On the First Day of December (A View of the Week)

As the first day of the last month of 2015 is before us, our team felt that it was quite timely as we received this from the man himself: +DARREN HARDY that is so onpointe and ever so line with our mission here in the "Visions" Property at #Outsiders.   Judge for Yourself!!!

...for Kicking Butt!
Today marks the first day in the last month of 2015!
While many people mistakenly excuse lack of productivity during the holiday period...
NOW is the time when you can get out in front and gain some serious strides on the competition.
When I was in real estate, most of my colleagues went into hibernation mode in December. Since many people do not buy or sell houses around the holiday season, they rationalized taking it easy—big mistake!
I did exactly the opposite, kicked it up a notch, and seized a huge market advantage.
Action for today: ... Go to post

As We Bid Farewell To Novermber here in #Outsiders....

It has been a challenging November and a challenging year. As we look forward to further updates on #COP21 and other challenges around our World, we thought this we ran across (also released to our twitter feed earlier) underscores how we have to look at the true art of the possible. Onward to December with all the hope and the promise and realizing that nothing is impossible--which is why we are here!!

Notations From the Grid (Special W-End Edition): Thought 4 the Week

Enough said in this quest for the "Vision of the Possible" on this Thanksgiving W-End....

Notations For the W-End: On Kickstarter Projects (An #Outsiders Newsflash Special w/Updated Notations On the NFC Ring)

It has been quite a busy time for us here @ #Outsiders as we continue to be on the prowl to assess projects we've decided to back.    We're eagelry awaiting the arrival of the NFC Smart Ring and the $ 9 Computer--although the folks at Rasperry Pi have done a "one up" which we hope all enjoyed reading up that our founder's "The Daily Update" featured in a recent edition here in #Outsiders.

We will continue to keep all informed..."watch this space'!!

Production update, Pre-Orders available on the store!
Posted by John McLear
Hey guys,
TLDR; Production 7 days behind but we will still be shipping in December.  Over 2k free rings shipped to makers.  Pre-orders of 2016 rings available exclusively on the NFC Ring store!

Production update

Hey guys, we're 7 days behind on our production schedule due to the last batch of blanks arriving a week late.  We're doing QA inspection on the 30th of November so assuming everything passes we will begin shipping to the UK from the factory on the the 1st of December.  Assuming it takes 7 days in transit we can expect to see the rings on the 9th of December at the latest and we can begin packing and shipping right away.
We have put a lot of prep work into ensuring we're ready to ship as soon as rings land.  We will be able to process about 500 ring orders a day and have already put on extra staff and resources to ensure we don't have any delays at our end.  It's going to be tense waiting on the package to land from China but we're fully setup with automated custom fee handling and other things to ensure everything goes smoothly.  The risk of course is customs decide to do additional inspections, that would be a huge bummer so fingers crossed....
Remember that extortionate £9 shipping rate?  Well that amount means we can ship with speedy shipping options greatly including the likelihood you will have your rings for Christmas!  Europe and the US usually takes about 5-10 days so assuming we begin shipping on the 11th rings should begin landing in the UK on the 13th and oversees on the 16th.

Hacker Rings

A few updates ago we announced we were giving hacker spaces access to free QA fail rings and the uptake was mind blowing.  We shipped over 2000 QA fail rings and we're now pretty much sold out!  Thanks for this guys, hopefully our maker friends will begin creating even more awesome stuff like theKeyduino (which is currently on Kickstarter).

Pre-Orders are now live

If you have friends who missed out on the Kickstarter and wanted to pre-order to get their ring ASAP they can do this on the NFC Ring store..

The Friday Musical Interlude: Adele Sings "Skyfall"

As we are "Back Online", it is once again time for the Friday Musical Interlude as our team chose Adele as the Artist of the Week with this selection we hope all enjoy:

As We Are "back Online": A Special Edition of "Notations From the Grid" On The Divine & Circumstances....

It is the day after thanksgiving in the United States.    We here at #Outsiders have hit the ground running as we have been on the prowl with a number of initiatives   forthcoming pver the ensuing hours.

As we look forward to release our Friday Musical Interlude selection featuring  Adele later on today (and we released one to "ordinary faces earlier) , we wanted to share this "Notation From the Grid" with this profound thought from the great Rumi which is simple yet ever so profound:

I looked in temples, churches and mosques. But I found the Divine within my Heart.~ Rumi
Posted by Rumi on Thursday, November 26, 2015

Our team also embraced this we got here @ our Virtual Studios that goes to the heart of what a Vision of the Possible is that we are grateful to +Jonathan Huie for this as we are "back at work" in underscoring a simple crucial fact:  we have to remember that to create the vision of the possible, there are

There are no hopeless situations; there are only men
who have grown hopeless about them.
- Clare Boothe Luce

You may not seem able to change some outer circumstances
but you can start by changing your inner experience of life and yourself.
- Joy Page

It's not the situation that's causing your stress,
it's your thoughts,
and you can change that right here and now.
You can choose to be peaceful right here and now.
Peace is a choice,
and it has nothing to do with
what other people do or think.
- Gerald Jampolsky

Eventually we all have to accept full and total responsibility for our actions,
everything we have done, and have not done.
- Hubert Selby Jr.

On the Eve of Thanksgiving in the United States...

We here @ #Outsiders have decided to go "dark" for Thanksgiving week here in the United States to reflect upon our World.      Our team will be "on the prowl" though with the daily twitter curation on our key "hastag" watches including #Daesh, #India, #China, #uselections, #Europe & #americas as we gear up for #COP21 (The United Nations Climate Change Conference) and formally launch "NASIIM".

As we go "dark" for thanksgiving week, we wanted to feature this from +Jonathan Huie that underscores what we must be thankful for and simply underscore the need to do our best and do what we can to make a difference--it is ever so critical not to forget

especially with the profound challenges we are faced with.

From all of us to all in the United States, Happy Thanksgiving as we step back to be ever so thankful and appreciative as we ask all never to "stop thinking about tomorrow"
